Destiny 2 has over 10x more players than Marathon on Steam, despite end of service

Bungie’s newest FPS, Marathon, launched in early 2026 to wide acclaim, gaining a ‘Mostly Positive’ rating on Steam and a well-earned 8/10 from us in our review – but months after launch, the studio’s golden child, Destiny 2, is steamrolling (excuse the pun) the shooter in its concurrent player count.

Around the time of launch, FPS game Marathon hit an all-time peak of 77,358 players according to Steam Charts, with SteamDB citing it as 88,337. Comparatively, both cite Destiny 2’s Steam launch stats from 2019 – just shy of two years after release – as anywhere from around 292,000 to over 316,000. The now shuttered Highguard even punched slightly above Marathon’s total, capping out at over 97,000 on launch day according to SteamDB before quickly petering out (though Steam Charts has it listed at a much lower 13,115).

Fast forward to today, and despite Destiny 2 having future updates put on ice, it’s reaching 47,000 concurrent players compared to Marathon’s 2,800. That’s a difference of over ten times the number of gamers concurrently logging in.

Since Destiny launched its final update, Moment of Triumph, on Tuesday, June 9, its player count has consistently peaked at over 50,000 in any one day. Despite it consistently trending down since that date (which reached over 167,000), it’s still far and above anything Marathon has yet to attain since June began – hitting slightly over 40,000 following Season 2’s June 2 release.

While comparisons between the two games aren’t a 1:1, especially considering genre differences and no easily trackable data for how Destiny 2 performed on launch (though a 2017 report from gamesindustry.biz mentions “peak concurrent player counts over 1 million,”) it’s still a large enough gap between a game no longer receiving content updates and one due to receive its third season in September of this year.

Whether Marathon catches up to the long-term playerbase its sibling has garnered remains to be seen, but for now, Destiny 2 looks to be anything but riding off into the sunset.

Anime Overseer codes (July 2026)

Anime Overseer codes can get you through a tough spot. Though the first few challenges can probably be cleared without equipping a secondary unit, the time to practice a proper strategy won’t be far behind. And with the Naruto characters lacking faces, you’ll need to keep your eye on the prize – they can’t see it.

In Anime Overseer, the overseer of the anime is you. That’s because it’s another anime Roblox tower defense title. One with a grand lobby, some fancy shaders, and a pretty depth of field effect that certainly makes for a good (graphical) first impression, but another Roblox TD title nonetheless.

Here are the working Anime Overseer codes right now:

  • PakGMisCool – 40 trait discs, 2k gems, and 1.5k gold (new!)
  • Weout! – 2.5k Coins, 500 Gems, 20 Meat, and five Trait Disks (new!)
  • Overseer! – 500 Gems, three Trait Disks, ten Soul Crystals, five Super Soul Crystals (new!)
  • BelieveInYourself! – 3,000 Coins, 35 Meat, and five Soul Crystals (new!)
  • WhereGameDesignersAt! – 6767 Coins, 676 Gems, five Trait Disks, five Soul Crystals, five Super Soul Crystals, and five Meat (new!)

Once you’ve got a sound strategy on auto-play, why not click here to follow on Google? You’ll have plenty of time to read through a few new guides and news hits while your team of anime-inspired towers defends the base. Unless your strategy wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, of course.

How do I redeem Anime Overseer codes?

You’ll need to jump through a few hoops to redeem new Anime Overseer codes, but we’ll guide you through them below:

  • Launch Anime Overseer on Roblox.
  • Close the game.
  • On the game page, give it a thumbs up.
  • Favorite the game.
  • Click the developer link beneath the game name and join the group.
  • Launch Anime Overseer again.
  • Click the ‘codes’ button on the right side of the screen.
  • Enter a working code.
  • Click the redeem button.

How do I play Anime Overseer?

With so much going on in the first few seconds of the game, it can be hard to figure out how to actually start a round in Anime Overseer. Given the size of the lobby, the best way is to click the ‘teleport’ button on the left side of the screen and click the fourth option. This whisks you away to the match gates.

If you’ve played a Roblox TD title in the last few years, you’ll know what’s going on here. If not, just walk up to an empty glowing wall to choose your challenge. If you want to join someone else, walk into an occupied gate and hope they don’t let it time out.

How do I get more Anime Overseer codes?

It’s surprisingly easy to spot new codes once you join the Anime Overseer Discord server. Find the link at the bottom of the game page and you’ll soon spot a ‘codes’ channel on the left side of the app. Hop in, and you’ll have a long list of new codes to choose from – the same codes you’ll find on the list above.

Of course, that means if you don’t want the hassle of joining another Roblox Discord server, you really don’t have to: we have all the working codes for Anime Overseer right here on this page.

Once you catch wind of a new update, chances are new Anime Overseer codes will be ready to claim. Check back here whenever you’re ready to take on a wave, and you might just get some free gems toward your next great pull.

Iconic Suit from Pragmata’s Demo Returns in New Update

PRAGMATA is one of my favorite releases of the year, partly thanks to the excellent lead duo, Hugh and Diana. There are plenty of outfits to unlock for both characters, but one of the most iconic suits for Hugh was previously only available in the Sketchbook Demo.

CAPCOM has released a new update for PRAGMATA ahead of Father’s Day, bringing back the Scribble Suit alongside a few gameplay and text adjustments.

Scribble Suit Returns in PRAGMATA

The Scribble Suit for Hugh was previously only unlockable in the Sketchbook Demo, but today’s update adds the outfit to the full game as well.

So, if you wanted to hack and shoot enemies while wearing an outfit covered in Diana’s drawings, you can now do so throughout the entire game. Hugh’s helmet will now have a goofy smile the entire time he destroys robots in tense encounters.

To change outfits in Pragmata, go to the Outfit Terminal in the Shelter to browse and select the one you want. There is no special requirement for this particular outfit.

Here are the complete patch notes for the update, which is available across all platforms including PC, PS5, Xbox Series S|X and the Nintendo Switch 2:

  • Hugh’s Scribble Suit outfit added.
  • Training Simulation #30, “Stand or Die,” difficulty reduced.
  • Minor text corrections implemented.

The only gameplay-related adjustment in the patch targets Training Simulation #30, “Stand or Die.” CAPCOM hasn’t detailed exactly what was changed, but lowering the difficulty should make the challenge more approachable, especially if you’re going for the ranks.

This is the last challenge in the training simulations, and finishing it unlocks the “Master of the Simulator” achievement. If this particular challenge was holding you back from unlocking it, I’d give it another try now.

Memories Are You Music Video

Alongside the update, CAPCOM has also released a full-length music video for PRAGMATA’s main theme song, “Memories Are You,” which you can watch below (be warned, though, there are spoilers in the footage):

It’s not a major update, especially since PRAGMATA is already in good shape from a performance standpoint, but it’s nice to see the game continue receiving support. Despite being a new IP, PRAGMATA sold over two million copies in just 16 days and has earned praise from both fans and critics.

I really hope CAPCOM is planning to release an expansion or DLC for PRAGMATA. While there are plenty of in-game incentives to replay the title thanks to its higher difficulty modes, it would be great to experience some new story content as well. Be sure to check out my review of the game.
